Great week Kingfisher Class. We had a very well-played football tournament on Wednesday where Kingfisher Class were joined by Parrot Class. I was very impressed with the positive attitudes and resilience shown throughout every game.

I look forward to hearing all about Danbury.

Science: Investigating Transparent, Translucent and Opaque materials

Homework 25th -29th

Our reading percentage was 66% this week. I know we can improve this.

I understand there have been a few issues with Education City. While we look to resolve the issues, please access the games related to this weeks learning as we discussed in school.

For any children who would like to do their homework at school, I will be holding a lunchtime homework club every Monday.

Year 5 - Maths - negative numbers

Reading: Five times a week- please ensure your reading book and reading record book are in school everyday.

Spellings will be tested each week but not in a 'test' format.

The children will write their spellings in a dictation. This way the children will become more familiar with the spelling patterns and rules and are therefore more able to use them correctly in their own writing.

Have another look at 'python, hyphen and hygiene' as I know that caused a few problems today.
