  • How did we do last year?

Our Data

Our pupils work extremely and we are always very proud of them.

When considering our data, please bear in mind that small, varying year group sizes can impact significantly on data outcomes, especially when you compare our data with that of larger schools.

Early Years Foundation Stage

Our Early Years pupils achieved fantastic results last year.

Our, moderated, end of year percentage of children that achieved a "Good Level of Development" (GLD) was 93.3%.  This compares with a current National outcome of 71.8%.

Children are defined as having reached a Good Level of Development at the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage if they have achieved at least the expected level in:

  • the Early Learning Goals in the prime areas of learning (personal, social and emotional development; physical development and communication and language); and
  • the Early Learning Goals in the specific areas of mathematics and literacy.

Phonics Screening Check

The phonics screening check is designed to confirm whether pupils have learnt phonic decoding (which helps them to read and write) to an appropriate standard.  It will identify pupils who need extra help to improve their decoding skills.

The check contains a mixture of real and "pseudo" words that a pupil reads aloud to a teacher.

In 2019, 64.7% of our pupils met the expected standard in the Key Stage 1 Screening Check.
