Mental health promotion involves creating and enhancing environments that support the development of positive mental health, wellbeing and healthy lifestyles. Research shows that  developing positive mental health and wellbeing is most effective when it takes place early in a child or young person's' life.

We take well-being very seriously. No-one can learn and flourish if they do not feel safe and well.

If you have any concerns over your child's mental health and well-being please call school and ask to speak to a member of our staff.

We have staff who are trained mental health first aiders and the Designated Senior Mental Health Lead is Mrs Willis and Mrs Kelly is also a Senior Mental Health Lead and they can be contacted via 01702 258238 or admin@canewdon.essex.sch.uk.
