Reading
New book levels and targets have been written in the front of reading records.
Keep reading regularly and discuss texts at home, using these helpful questions. Choose a few from each page (or focus on one) to discuss every time you read.
Are you looking for inspiration to try a new book or author?
Take a look at our Bookmatch list. Here you will find books linked to famous authors you may already like. Let us know if you find anything you enjoy!
Spellings
Here is a 'Spelling Menu' of activities to choose from when practising your spellings. Choose 1 or 2 different activities a week to support memorising spelling patterns.
These are common exception words all children should be able to read and spell by the end of year 4.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
