Summer 2 - This half-term, Robin Class are learning:

Maths: Problem-solving, efficient methods, consolidation and investigations 

English: Moral-based narrative and Newspaper report 

Guided Reading - Creation myths 

Science: Plants - plant reproduction

History: Local history 

R.E: How do people make moral decisions?

Design Technology: Eating seasonally

Computing: Data information and branching databases

Music: Opening night - planning and performing

PSHE: How do we recognise our feelings?

French Year 3: Consolidation - numbers, colours, days of the week and months of the year

P.E: Football.

Our PE day is on a Tuesday afternoon. If your child wears stud earrings, please ensure they are removed before they come to school that day.

Could all children please have a FULL outdoor PE kit in school, as we do not have many spare items? 

As the weather gets warmer, we kindly ask that all children come to school with sun cream already applied in the morning.

If you have any old, outgrown PE kit items that you would like to donate, including trainers, it would be very much appreciated.

Please, could all girls have spare socks if they wear tights to school.

Homework 

Set: Friday 

Due: Wednesday

Every week a Maths and English/Topic activity will be put in a homework book for the children to complete.

Your child can also access Times Tables Rockstars - see their reading record for details.

Reading 

Can you achieve your reading target this half term? Keep reading regularly and discuss texts at home. Remember to log all your reading. Please bring reading records to school daily and return books to school when you are confident enough to take a quiz.

What a fantastic start to this half term, our reading percentage for those who have read 5 times or more has gone up to 62% (It is part of your homework). Read a book, instructions, a comic, a newspaper, road signs or game rules!! There are words everywhere!! read to an adult, a sibling, a tree, a pet or a teddy bear!!! Please just read and get an adult to sign your reading record. It will help increase vocabulary, sentence structure, develop creativity and imagination, encourage a love of learning, support better communication, build concentration and patience, and most importantly, it is FUN! 

Open a book and let your imagination soar - a whole new world is waiting to be explored!
